Description
This was something I started a few weeks ago, but finally decided to finish it...I don't actually know WHAT was going through my head at the time of drawing this, but if I'm totally honest, I did start this after drinking two glasses of red wine >_<

I can see a whole mess of these with the Heavy Hitters in the places visited in the game. Like a Patriot in Soldier's Field/Hall of Heroes, a Handyman in Finkton, a Siren in the Emporia marketplace etc.

I've already planned another Handyman picture >_< this is terrible, I need to get out more original artwork but I am sooo addicted! I've been wanting to do one of Songbird and baby Elizabeth too, you know, sweet moments that you know must have happened but isn't in the game...
Or what the BoS might look under his mask *_* but I don't think people will like what image I have in my head, it's kinda gross!

I always thought the Boys of silence looked like this character called Jack in a strange exorcism book based in a steam punk setting. He was a little boy who's eyes where wired shut with barbed strips of metal. However, he had developed psychic senses, so he really didn't need his eyes after all.

I kind of see something similar, though I think they would have probably sewn the eyes properly to avoid infection (I doubt they would remove the helmets much) Maybe even gone to the extreme of just entirely removing their eyes. I also thought that they might have implanted something into their ears to enhance their earring even more so, having an a device that replaced their ears and stimulated their drums when there was the slights vibration in the air. I've also been toying with the idea that their tongue had been removed to stop them from communicating and encourage them to remain silent >.>
But like I said, the actual image in my head seems pretty gross, I don't know if I should actually draw this XD and anyway, I think people prefer to wonder what's under the mask than actually see it!

I can try doodling how I see them. There was a description written in Tumblr was was extremely disturbing though (can try finding it, but IDK. It was at least a month ago that I read it.)
But I think it's best when you simply don't know. It's freakier that way. Like Big Daddies and their helmets. Or slasher villains and their masks.

Fan comment. I doubt even the designers thought about what the Boys look like without their masks. By the way Nate Wells described the concepts that lead to their creation, they designed the mask as the "head" (no thought of a face, jut the helmet IS the face. Like a Bouncer's "face" is its 6 lights helmet.)
Although even unmasked baddies can be creepy. Like Pinhead and Freddy Krueger. (Maybe even the Handymen too?)
