Thank you! Ann Margaret did a voice on The Flinstones in the episode "Ann-Margrock Presents" in season 4.
My mom's friend is named Margaret, and I made this for her.

Cool ! I didn't know that, & I was around in the 60's ( Believe it or not..... ).
I heard this rumor that Seth McFarlane is going to do a version of the Flintstones. If he does, it'll just be a prehistoric version of " Family Guy ", complete w / bathroom humor. Oy..... !

But this piece is fabulous !

Thank you so much for the compliment. I love the classic cartoons.

As for prehistoric family guy...you said it perfectly...Oy...!

The classics often had " Easter Eggs " of hidden, subtle humor for adults to enjoy, especially Rocky & Bullwinkle, George of the Jungle, etc.
Johnny Quest was a staple of my youth, even though it could be very un - PC at times, too.

Seth McFarlane can be very creative when he WANTS to be. He's just been lazy at times or he greats preachy about " Bad, Ignorant Conservatives / Bad Big Business " ( & I'm not particularly a Conservative, more a Moderate ) or " stupid, barely literate / illiterate Bible - thumping Rednecks ". He must've been bullied by Christian Fundamentalist kids from the South & Midwest in high school.

I love classic cartoons! Especially because they were smart,
sarcastic, and had subtle humor for adults. I love parody and
satire too. Those are my favorite kinds of cartoons.

They found very subtle ways to sneak in bits of adult - level humor, like Donald Duck slipping swear words into his outraged rants. & the social & environmental messages of Dr. Seuss hidden in the nonsensical rhymes. Ever see Betty Boop shorts ? The 1st cartoon character to be controversial !

I know Betty Boop! My favorite cartoons are the ones with humor for adults too.
The cartoons I watched when I was little had all these jokes that went over my head,
but now I get them all. It just makes them funnier.

Children's contemporary animation is savvier too, than it was when I was a kid.
I watched a modern - day Looney Tunes episode that could've easily been an episode of " Seinfeld " ( Imagining Jerry as Bugs & George Costanza as Porky Pig ! ). They were having lunch at a RIB JOINT & Porky makes a remark that he's not really comfortable eating there.

I totally agree. I love the way classic Looney Tunes would spoof
movies and celebrities from their era. I see that influence everywhere
in modern cartooning. It's great to see that style continuing.

I still enjoy clever animated kid's shows as a " secret pleasure ", although I'm not a die - hard follower of any of them. I saw an episode of a Japanese anime show ( " Foolie Coolie " ) that showed the characters in South Park - style. That show seems like the writers are on acid or maybe Ecstasy, I'm just guessing. Quite a ride, though.

Things have come LIGHT - YEARS from the way they were when I was a kid. I loved both Disney & Warner Brothers animation. Now Disney's entertainment seems aimed towards child stars.

Such a sweet portrait of the character - so beautiful and heartfelt. This just says that she is quite the character.

Very good work. Thanks for posting, friend.
