Yargh, this is OLD! Made it nearly three years ago. You may want to take a look at my newer stuff. It's better. XD
In answer to your question, I use regular old pencil and paper to draw the frames, then I scan and open them in a program called ToonBoom Studio, where I may ink and color them if I'm feeling up to it.

WOW You've improved so much!
A few things though: it should be a pounce, and not a grab. It looks like he's trying to scare him and you should probably make it quicker. You can do this by having both paws leap at the same time, and the faster the action is, the less frames you have.
Where'd the second character's face go at about 2 or 3 frames?! xD Other than that you're improving soooo much! Great job!

I was going to turn it into a pounce, but I never quite got around to adding the last few frames. D: You may or may not have noticed the back paws coming up towards the end; my original plan was to have those land and THEN have her pounce. XD Ah well.
As for the face...I wanted to focus more on the other character during those frames, since the second was not really doing anything different. I put him back in when his face began moving again. I plan to add it in later. XD
