Aww, if only. Loki's suicide attempt was so sad. It must've been tough on Thor having to watch it happen. I wonder if Thor was angry at Odin and blamed him. It's even sadder that Loki tells Thor in Avengers that he wishes he had died.

Amazing how one word can change everything. MCU shows what happened when Odin said NO to Loki. Here's what could have happened had he said YES (or, at the very least not said NO). Loki always had to struggle to fit in. Now it looks like Odin finally understands. Perhaps the Odinsleep did him some good, after all.

Awe! Odin being adorable...the World needs more of this. He always looks so scary in people's portrayals of him. Hell, he was played by Anthony Hopkins, he did an awesome job btw but he still played Hannibal which scared me when I was a kid. He is the Alfather, so there must have been times where Odin is adorable as a dad, husband and as a friend.

Yeah, some have commented stating that if this was the ending then we wouldnt have Avengers. I am okay with that? I mean, the Avengers movie would have been about something else, who knows! I want the Odin family to be stronger and better for it more than i want a movie where Loki is malnourished, crazy and under pressure by even worse space aliens, if you understand my meaning.Β

Yes, as for norse mythology, it's been a while since i've taken myth and religion 101, but wasn't Loki Odin's brother??? I've had that in my head for years.

They are not literally brothers but, they fought many battles and consider each other brothers. So maybe you can call them brothers at arms. You need to read Lokisenna its great and really shows how clever he is, which literally exceeds anyone else in Asgard, sadly this is the last we see of him until Ragnarok because afterwards he is bound and kept imprisoned. It kind of shows that throughout the Edda Loki is never accepted as an Aesir by the others though he spends most of his time fighting with them and helping them. Its pretty interesting for not even Loki knows where he comes from. The two names that are given in the Eddas for his parents aren't recorded anywhere else in the Edda. some scholars think that he isn't Aesir, Vaner or Jotuun and more is a personification of chaos as the parents names put together mean "lighting hitting a tree which makes wild fire" or something and Loki's other name is Logi which means wild fire. He is also associated with the forge fire so again a strong association to the natural element of fire. as you can tell I am fascinated by Loki lol I can go on and on XDΒ I actually liked Odin and Thor better in the Eddas too. They weren't complete assholes to Loki, who only had problems with the others @.@
