Description This shot gives a nice perspective of how big the wings are on this bird. I was always bumping them on the wall when I brought it up from the basement to the garage to do painting. She is on the top shelf of one of my display shelves now, and one of the wingtips is over the edge by a few inches or so.

The two Alcad shades are polished aluminum, and dark aluminum for the center section. The dark aluminum turned out a little better than the polished aluminum.

I really like the green accents with this livery - it adds a nice touch that really catches your eye!

If you like the biggins, try a B-36.
The wingspan won't make it through a door.

Very true - I actually built one when I was a kid. Don't want to try it again though - it really is too big!

love those green accents but what really draws my eye in your use of the Alcad shades. the metal really puts this over the top. really haw dropping work.

Thank you my friend! Up close, the Alclad doesn't look as good as it does in this photo. If I use Alcad again, I'll have to put more work into surface preparation.

It's 1/48 scale - the old Monogram version.

Thanks! I'm probably going to take a break for just a bit after finishing this one and my Tomcat build before that!
