PROCESS
Crash is made from EVA foam, PVC piping, 3d printed parts, faux fur, various fabrics, wire, silicone, resin cast parts, kanekalon hair and a bunch of other materials. He is approx 5 foot tall and took over 700 hrs to make over 6 months.
COMMENTS
Here he is, my biggest (size wise, time and difficulty) project to date. I had no idea what I was really getting myself into when I took him on. He was an insane challenge but I'm incredibly proud of how he has turned out. I'm hoping to push my work more into this direction (more replica than plush) in the future.

But seriously replicas are wicked, reminds of the conventions for games and other media where they have massive super realistic statues of characters and you just think 'damn i want one of those'.
Will be awesome to see what else gets made as that looks convention statue level already.

Well, you just keep cranking up the insanity, don't you! This is amazing - definitely moving away from plush, but so incredible as its own medium! Love how smooth the shorts and shoes are, and I'm so wondering how you managed to make the tongue look wet.

Thankyou!! It's a silicone cast tongue, then you paint silicone on top. It'll dry glossy if it isn't pressed against anything matte

Bit of both. It's really large so the silicone is thick, but it does have a bit of give and will definitely flop/wobble if you pick it up.
