Description Sasa in all his glory, but still a bit shy!

I pulled out my tiny watercolor set to get a little bit in practice before I start my watercolor commission. I am not really a traditional artist, but I still like the outcome quite a lot, even if the scanner swallowed a lot details and colors.

Hope you enjoy too!

Sasa is mine!

I admire anyone who can work with the little devil of a medium like you have done.  It turned out very nicely and I am glad that you were able to do well on it.  Sasa's arms seem a bit thin but only on the upper arms and that could be something that is to do with the colouring or the angle.  His face looks wonderful and his personality comes through well.

Actually its quite a lot fun to draw with watercolor as it gives me the possibility to "smudge" around like I want if you know what I mean! I just working on the 4th slot of my commissions what happened to be a watercolor work, and it is a LOT fun!! I'll finish the next days I think
Oh when I was working on him I didn't see it at all, but once I had done the last touch it popped in my eyes that his anatomy might be a bit odd, but well, I still love it xD
And I'm glad you like it too ^^

Watercolours and I have an understanding.  We stay away from each other's work and appreciate one another from a distance.   I have no doubt that you're doing a great job on it. I wish you a smooth finish on the artwork!

It's still a good pic.  And hey, we all have oddities that make us unique.  One of my teeth is actually mostly sideways, not to mention the bit of lazy eyelid over my left eye...yeah...we've all got our own little things. XD

Hahaha, I totally understand! Me and graphite are similar, even though sometimes I dare to challenge it! We're still trying to figure out our positions, haha

Sasa does have weak arms, not really thin in the meaning of looking bony or so, he does have arm muscles and trains them almost daily, but it is hard for him to build up some serious strength in them.

I commend you for undertaking the challenge from time to time.   It will get sorted out eventually.

It's okay.  I think most people have muscle groups like that unless they're eating a lot of protein (waaaaaay more than a normal person would).

" I am not really a traditional artist" he says.... Pshht *gestures at the screen* you Fibber you

I think you should do more of these I like the textures of watercolor paper, so pretty.

Sasa looks really white.

Dark skin seems like it would be murder to make in watercolor.

Hey!! It's the truth!

I think I will do more, it was fun to play with watercolors even though I have such a handful of colors, haha

And yeah he looks really pale here, might be I was a bit shy with this tone, but I didn't want to ruin the balance in the picture. We'll see, maybe with a proper practice I can make a more lifelike Sasa

I support it!

I heard that dark skin is tricky in watercolor, so I agree you will just need practice. It looks wonderful regardless.

I have no idea, as said I'm no traditional artist

Thanks, dear! It was surprisingly much fun to draw with watercolors, I'm thinking about using it more often from now on as it gives very nice textures ^^

And Sasa was a good boy during the entire drawing time, he seemed to enjoy modelling me here
