There’s a lot i could say about this. ;3 She’s Gabriel’s mom. It’s based on a “scene” i daydreamed.
She, Eloise Cavanaugh, left Gabriel and his dad when Gabriel was a tiny baby, cause she couldn’t stand commitment, but then she comes back when Gabriel’s 24 to say “hey whats up, i just heard that your dad died... when you were ten... so i thought i’d check in..” (not really, but pretty much. she apologizes and explains and everything) And he forgives her after she explains. She just can’t really deal with commitment; the family she has now is understanding and let’s her come and go as she pleases (though she admits it does cause strain to the family) but Gabriel’s dad wasn’t understanding like that and he made her promise that if she left she wouldn’t come back just to break their hearts againahhhh. Reminds me of this quote from Because of Winn-Dixie: “There ain’t no way you can hold onto something that wants to go, you understand? You’ve just got to love it while you’ve got it and that’s that.”
His mom stays only for about 15 minutes before getting on her motorcycle (i fucking drew a fucking motorcycle guys!!) again and riding off. But before she goes she meets Teagan and Teag gushes over her motorcycle and says how she really wants a dirt bike but Gabriel won’t let her get one cause they’re dangerous, so Eloise convinces Gabriel to let Teag get a dirt bike cause, as she puts it- “Sometimes a girl’s gotta fly.”
