Description This is an old picture, but I like it. it's colored pencil (crayola and prisma) on black paper. that's supposed to be a shooting star, even though it looks like a comet. My boyfriend and I had been going out... probably a year when I drew this.

nice. i like it. black paper? interesting! i think i might play with that idea for awhile. are you still going out? i like how you did the colors, smooth and nice lighting. i do agree with you though, the shotting star is a bit like a comet.. but it still works. maybe add some other, smaller shooting stars.

Thanks I remember watching a meteor shower once and I have some ideas of how to actually draw it as a shooting star... like it would be a lot simpler. Yeah, we're still going out Recomendations for black paper: Metalic Colored pencils (crayola makes some nice ones), pastel pencils, or prismacolor pencils. Crayola Color pencils won't work. Play around with them, see what works for you. You know those Gel Pen books you can get at the store? that's what I usually use, something not too coarse like construction paper. It's been a while since I've done black paper stuff... I should do some more again

Ahh thank you for the tips.. sadly all i have at home is the Crayola color pencils. *takes notes* I've seen a few shooting stars but not a shower. One time though i was in folorida, 5 in the morning and looked outside. I saw 4 planets that morning. very cool. n.n

I like the colors. I think it has a very romantic feel to it. Heh... it is very sweet and calming picture. I like the shooting star. Very cool... is this a scene straight from your life?

Sort of. Dan's Mt has a great view of a part of WV even though Dan's is in Maryland, the only time I've been there was during the day with my boyfriend.. The rock on the top has a fantastic view. I'd love to go star gazing with him one night up there but that hasn't happened yet. it was very peaceful

i really like this style of 'negative' art. the shooting star and the way the light reflects off the figures looks very nice
the stars feel a bit too uniform, but then again it all works well...

thanks yeah... it's old but I'll make my star fields more random next time, thanks for the advice.
