I went out this morning to try my new camera, and I found these leaves and twisted twigs that had been laying under the snow all winter.I know there's no focuspoint, and that the composition is messy, but that was kind of my idea, chaos and distortion.
Oh, and I've decided to use signatures instead of watermarks. It looks alot better... Not that I think anyone would rip this, though.
Be gentle, this is the first time I'm using my new camera. It will probably take a while before I get used to it.

I can relate to the chaos. I like that my eye travels down the image via the curves and shadows. I also like the tone.

The contrast and sharpness is nice. The cropping lengthwise looks great as well. How do you like your new camera? I've been searching for a good one out there. I like your signature, it's pretty. Is that your handwriting?

I like this. I think that a focal point might have made the picture have less feeling. The color of the photo also really adds to the feel - that although its chaotic its also got a nice calming sense to it. good experimentation.

Wow, I didn't really notice how well the title fits the photo until I looked at it in full view. The little details really give the branches a sense of tension, and really do make them look like wringing hands. The blue tone doesn't hurt either.

The whole thing behind getting more practice from a new camera, is gaining experiance and finding concepts and ideas along the way. Such as when you went to try out your new camera, you came up with "Wring" which is a great image.

A Canon EOS 10D. Not bad, not bad. I realy have to save some money for the Sigma SD10, so I can take some pictures, too.
Lovely. You say that it's not focused etc. I think this looks this way great. This blue touch is absolutely, great, people say that the blue color is the most relaxing color in teh world, it must be cos everytime I see a blue sky I feel great

Quite beautiful. It may not have a focus, but I think it does add to an overall natural complexity feel. The colors are amazing; all that blue and green with the tint of copper is perfect.
