i do like the blue tone with this, but i agree with johnny about the white border. the border should frame the picture.. but here it's almost blending in. although, i'm not really one to judge soo.. feel free to disregard me

Have to disagree with everyone else here - love the majority of your other work, but I'm not too sure about this one.
Technically, the shot is fine, but your subject matter looks like the month-old remnants of someone's ceasar salad. Composition seems very cluttered - both in this detail and the original - and doesn't seem to lead the eye anywhere in particular. I attribute this in part to the colour; the blue tint married with the black border in this instance makes the piece seem very claustrophobic. As a rule of thumb, when your photo has dominant light tones and secondary shadows, use a black border, when, like this one, it has predominant shadow and secondary colour use white for the border (I will admit this isn't always the case though). Perhaps both 'Wring' pieces would work better sepia toned with a white border?
Also, as a final point try not to mix your typeface (and colours) in the title area; stick to something simple such as Gil Sans or Univers. By doing this you won't take away from the artistic touch of your signature, which looks great (my signature looks like I've farted in the middle of writing it).

I have take a look at the original one, and i must admit that i prefer this detail than the global picture.
Even if i know that you have intentionally make the composition messy in the first, i think this one is more readable. Also i really like the tones you used here, looks like a *ashed* blue, it works well with the subject who seems to be burnt leaves and plants. Really nice idea. Hope you will enjoy your new cam
