Description From my Anglo-Iberian timeline, the flag of the City-State of Bordeaux.

The flag was first used in 1900 (minus the Coat-of-Arms), during the Great War, after the city had been taken by Anglo-Iberian troops. While at first a symbol of rebellion, when the city was granted independance in the Treaty of Etampes in 1904, it was adopted as the official flag, and the Coat-of-Arms was added.

During the formation of the New French Republic in 1962, Bordeaux refused to send representatives to the Paris Convention, and thus didn't join the NFR, prefering to remain independant.

Today, the City-State is closely allied with both the NFR and the Anglo-Iberian Empire.

Cheers.

The tricolour is basically representative of the symbolism in the Coat-of-Arms - Or for the fleur-de-lis, Gules for the lions, and Azure for the sea.
I considered making it a pentacolour and including the castle and the moon in their own lines, but it looked terribly ugly when I tried it out, lol
