Yo guys, here it finally is (and it's about damn time!) - My Nui Harime Wig tutorial!

Great tutorial. I'm curious about one thing though. How much did it cost to make this wig?

I spent ~$80 on this wig! Depending on what brand of spray foam you use, you can probably make it for $50 (mostly the price of the wig and wefts).

Thank you so much for creating this, I want to cosplay Nui and her hair just looked so intimidating. Your tutorial gives me hope that I can pull it off! Quick question though, does the headband go on top of the base wig or underneath it? I wasn't sure from your instructions. Unsure how well it would/does hide if it went on top but not sure if it'd even be possible to put it underneath. Thanks!

It's on top in mine, I just painted the band a yellow to match my wig, and I pull the hairs over it. If you want to have the headband underneath, you should use a thicket headband. Then, you can put a screw into the headband and screw each ponytail onto it. I've never done this before, but it's similar to what people to to attach horns to their heads invisibly for cosplay ^_^ Good luck, I'm glad this was helpful!

This tutorial is great!! I love how you have included other tutorials etc within yours and references and lots of good images~ If I hadn't of found this i dont think i would of braved making my own Nui wig but I did and I thankyou for it <3 (Id also love you alot if maybe you could check out my finished product and give me some pointers?)

Ok, I just had to come and comment here - since Nui's first appearance I was totz like "OMG I NEED TO COSPLAY THIS", but as I kept watching all I could see was an impossible wig to bring to real life... I mean, I thought Tomoe Mami's one was hard? LOL!
So I just had to put her on my little box of "I-can-only-dream" cosplays...
Then today I foound your tutorial and now this is my next year's n.1 project YAY *Q*
