I love final fantasy IX
, sadly not a lot of people do and it got overshadowed by other final fantasy games.

Yeah, I always felt that way about Final Fantasy IX too! Mostly b/c that was the first Final Fantasy I ever played (back in Dec 2000 when it first came out)! But yeah, great job and I love the facial expression too!

I must admit, you're right about that. There was FFVIII, and before that the popular FFVII and after the 9th one came FFX.
But beside that, You did awesome work on Zidane...

I feel the same way with FFVIII, too many people got hung up on the magic system and missed out on a good game.
I was hesitant with FFIX because it was so Chibi in style but did not regret getting it once I did.

Awesome! I do agree with you that FFIX does not receive as much attention as the other games. I haven't played it yet (my first one was FFX), but I've been wanting to play all of the Final Fantasy games...

what people don't like about FF9 is, how it went a step backwards, making it more medieval again, making all those references to the first game (like, the 4 guardians, the final dungeon, garland and chaos)
and the whole thing being rather simplistic as far as the story goes
...and that god damned chocobo treasure hunt >.< I'd rather breed 30 golden chocobos than doing that just one more time
people just didnt want it...
then, there was the lack of a good gay pairing, unlike squall and seifer or vincent, cloud and sephiroth, this only had zidane and kuja and people just didnt like Kuja...
furrys got wild over freyas people, but that's as far as it went
well, I liked it however, due to all those summon cut-scenes (Odin and Bahamuth <3 )
Now, to come to your picture, it looks nice, but it kinda lacks a little... cheekyness, you know, it just looks too nice for Zidane... all dressed up for a dance or something @.@
He also reminds me at the guy from FMA xD

Yep, I own all the FF games (excluding Crystal Chronicles wich I hated, and FFXI because it's online -_-) and I loved the FFIX experience a lot. Thanks for drawing him, you inspired me to draw my own version...^_^

yeah...sadly that not a lot of people do like ff 9. It's the second rpg that i played (ff8 being the first) bus somehow i liked 9 better XD , maybe because they are all chibi-ish
