I'm not sure, since this avatar drawing was done for my friend (as her avatar) I've got a drawing of my own avatar in my gallery too (in the name of "My Avatar") you can put that into the contest if you think its enough avatar (the avatar group didnt accept it to their gallery, I dont know why... maybe its the hiding ears and looks too much like an photo than a just face shape scaled)
then again, I have one avatar themed drawing in process and its gonna be better than these 2 I've done for now (gonna be in different style, but there's a background and a pandora creature along with the na'vi)

this one is not a photomanipulation, its a pure drawing.
I would put this into the contest, but its my friend's na'vi character. I dont feel right if I use her character in a contest

"This war's been going on for about two years now. The natives are far more resistant than we first thought ... I don't know how much longer I'm able to stay on this goddamn rock, I just wish I could go home ... or at least breathe some fresh air. This stuff out of the bottles just doesn't feel real .... Actually the first thing we should do after having taken over the planet is fill its atmosphere with 'normal' air.

But well at least I'm still alive. Being a pilot seems to be a lucky position here ... I mean my squadron has stayed complete since we arrived here. Haven't seen any of those dragon creatures or anything dangerous in the heights we do our patrols either.
...
Anyway ... I'm repeating myself but just hope this ends soon and doesn't turn into something like the Fifty-Years ... I'd probably go insane."
