Description I've seen something like this before on DA, and I'm sure many photographers have done this. However, I did something I believe is unique to the photo. I used an infrared filter (Hoya R72), and the "Electronic Project's For the Evil Genius" book.

I took the photo without the filter, and with the filter to see how much different the image would look. Well, there are alot of differences. First, you can see the text from below the pages better from the image with the filter. Also, everything was a pink/red color, and the filters I used to produce the "heart" shape made it appear more... purple.

I didn't notice I had the camera set to ISO1600... If I would have noticed that, I would have changed it to produce a better quality photo. But, I did this mainly for experimental purposes and... Valentines Day.

As for editing, the only photoshopping I did was to remove a few "dead pixels" from the original file. No levels, saturation, etc.. I am extremely awed by it myself.

Enjoy!

You've got the point, dude. It IS a frequently used motive. But this photo IS unique among the others glass-book-heart ones. Congratulations for making something uncommon from something common!

Initially i thought this was perhaps something that you observed and clicked. But sounds like you thought of this and then created the whole setup.

Bravo bruther !

Hehe... well, I did observe it, but it was from another deviation that I have seen. I just wanted to reproduce that effect, and the IR filter made it look nifty. Thanks for the comment!

It seems as though my best photos are the ones that I actually take the time to setup. I normally take photos on a random basis. I wanted to play with my new filter... I will be taking more for sure.
