It seems these holidays have been productive for me! I tried to follow some kind of routine regarding drawing and preferably painting and sticked to it.....for 2 days hahaha. But I was absolutely astonished with this! I hadn't drawn manga style for sooo so so so so so so long!!! and the result impressed me. It looked absolutely nothing like I used to draw(you can check older manga/anime drawings in my gallery from a yer or two ago) and I remember it came out all smooth and effortlesly. Even the hands! I remember I didn't really like drawing things I know I'm not good at as hands, different outfits, poses, backgrounds... but this time I found myself at ease drawing and redrawing things that didn't look good at first but started to come out much better as I worked on it. Flipping the canvas to double check (something that I never did because it never looked good and I assumed it was ok if it looked nice just as I drew it haha) It felt much more natural than usual, as if I had been drawing things and gained experience throughout all this time when I hadn't really drawn anything... I don't know, I guess I'm all super happy with the result of this And it's INCREDIBLE the effect of music in the way you draw and for me on the way I paint and the colours I choose. For this piece the soundtrack of 'Howl's moving castle' fits perfectly for me because that was what I was hearing most of the time -> play.spotify.com/user/12472105…
