Don't mind me just casually stalking the comments months later~
A quick explanation of the story is that these two used to be mates! After witnessing Eaglestrike (the brown tom) act out an attack on members of their rival clan, Briarlight (the little lady) could never look at him the same and fled without a word. Eaglestrike went out and searched for her for years but was unsuccessful. After some time, he gave up - absolutely heartbroken that his love had disappeared. Years and years later while Eaglestrike's clan is moving, he goes out one night to clear his mind. Coming up on a field, he spots Briarlight and is left in utter shock, not knowing if he's dreaming or not. Briarlight is left feeling confused and somewhat horrified at seeing her old mate again and well..basically neither of them knows what to think, both just very confused and heartbroken from all the circumstances that led up to this scene!
I definitely did not explain that well AT ALL! But, I hope that somewhat makes sense!!
