Whenever I see an "Icelandic" on a thumbnail they always turn out to be some strange made up breed    But I guess it's easier when it comes to my horses, there aren't many breeds to choose from^^

I know what you mean. Lol. There is a breed that even has tölt and pace and I'm often all like 'yay, icelandic!' and then it turns out to be a horse of the made-up breef. XD

One might wonder why someone felt the need to create a made-up breed almost indistinguishable from a real breed...

Yeah, well, my guess often is, because made-up breeds are taller and people seem to kinda only rarely want to handle ponies, while they are drawn to the pony fluffiness. XD
It's like with drafts, I know breeds looking just like shires or something, just that they are great in jumping or something else real draft breeds jzst, well, won't be quite as good in. XD
