I find just a little warming up and adjusting the magenta balance a bit on sunsets really does a lot (I use Lightroom pretty much exclusively). This is an extreme example where a little did a LOT, the sky was already very magenta. The receding tide created a mirror which caused the whole image to take on the color.
I actually reduced the blacks because it was too punchy. With only 1 or 2 colors dominating it's a hard balance between retina burn and being washed out. Sometimes I look at it and think it's too colorful, if I drop the saturation below baseline it looks washed out. It's a tough one for me, regarding the color.

I'm so sad my dog doesn't like the water. I would love to take him and watch him do this.

He might like the beach. The dogs didn't really go in the water, the waves were kinda high.

I wish. The beach is like an hour from me and he gets car sick when we drive within 5 miles to the vet. I've given up hope on car trips.
