BEYOND, page 12This is a comic written and drawn by Matitaimpazzita , I worked on digital color for this project! take a look at the comic here [link]
for now it's only in italian, but it will be translated in english too, later!
author's introduction (translated by me, sorry if there could be any mistakes):
"Can the poverty and social isolation generate a potential enemy to society?
The city of Byzantium thoroughly wields the laws of New Atlantis, which do not allow people like indigents to roam the country at the risk of committing crimes to survive.
So the mad Beholder and its people, are forced to live away from sunlight, thus nourishing a feeling of contempt for the affluent society.
This is what you'll see in this special, a sort of presentation of Beyond's arch enemy and the first catalyst for all the events that will take place in the first issue."

Per curiosità, tu usi la tablet o il mouse per colorare?
Io la tablet non la voglio usare. Prima devo imparare a cordinare meglio le mie mani, perchè, per esempio quando passo alla pulizia dei miei disegni noto che faccio fatica a seguire la linea dritta, e il motivo per cui quando schizzo faccio ancora mille righe è proprio perchè non riesco a coordinare ancora bene la mia mano.

Uso la tablet, non si potrebbe fare altrimenti. Il mouse non è fatto per la colorazione - anni fà usavo il mouse, ma ti assicuro che dopo un po' fà male, la mano resta anchilosata, e i movimenti non sono naturali (senza considerare la mancanza di controllo sull'espressione del tratto). Per ripulire i disegni in digitale seguendo linee dritte, basta cliccare in un punto di partenza (che sia con la penna o col mouse) poi tenendo premuto il tasto shift si clicca sul punto di arrivo, dunque Photoshop traccerà una linea retta tra i due punti selezionati.
A me, comunque, non riesce di tracciare linee decise in digitale, per questo disegno sempre a matita e uso il computer solo per il colore. A mano è più facile ripulire gradualmente il segno, anche io faccio mille righe... mi piace arrivare al segno definitivo levigando, e cancellando di volta in volta. Credo che sia una questione di inclinazione naturale, c'è chi disegna con pochi tratti decisi, e chi fà centinaia di rigoline leggere per trovare quella giusta.

So this is the project you were working on?.. i went to look at it, but one should really read italian to understand it
I love the way you colour! I still sometimes look at the "Dreams" coverpage that you coloured, I like to look how you did this or that part, and so on. the same here - i just enjoy looking at how exactly you decided to this or that.
I also was glad to see that now I recognise the Italian style of comics - the style is in a way not like American or Japaneese - it's much of it's own.

This is one of two projects I was working, the second isn't still concluded...
I hope Matitaimpazzita will translate it very soon! italian comics are so full of text, and it's not easy to understand what's going on just by images, I agree.
I tried to translate the introduction 
anyway, Beyond is a superhero that isn't showed here in this chapter 0, here you can see the monster named 'Beyondall', and indigents' leader 'Beholder' ^^ someone else will continue the story, anyway, my collaboration is just in these pages
I followed some guidelines about coloring (purple everywhere, and indications about hair, clothes, etc.), but, er, I mostly ended to make it in my way
This comic was made in a very classical 70's style ^^ I guess italians always take a lot of influence from Magnus [link]

No, it wasn't a commission, all the project is just for fun, or at least is without earnings for we all ^^ for me it was a good exercize, since I never coloured a comic before (and I realized to be so much slow at this
