For some reason all the Movie toys for MEGS are ugly. Blue paint apps for 'ice' is doo-doo but I guess they felt they needed multi-colors to be toy-worthy.The ugly icon will be on my site soon, here is the pretty version.

I think the models from the movie all of them are ugly have you seen the character models from the 2d show I prefer thoseΒ designs more than any other/ If I could suggest 3-d transformer models to base anything of of it would be the Best-wars show also there Toy-line was beautiful I love & hold the designs in my hear to this day heck I still have the memory of how to transform my old toys from when I was a kid. How elegantΒ they all were...

hahaha, he looks like he would. i agree i think the movie megs is hideous but the tfp version is a tuned up version of that one crossed with the animated version, which does him justice

Megatron and Starscream are the two worst of the movie designs. All the others I've grown used to, but I don't hink I ever will with those two. Still, it's a cool icon--you've almost managed to make him look good. Almost.

Wonderfully rendered, as always. I wondered about the blue paint aps myself and didn't know they needed to have a minimum number of colors on the toys. They could have at least made it a lighter or grayer shade of blue to begin with, tho'.

Yeah, the Megatron design sucks... nice trying to make it look good, Nick, but that's too much for any one person to do.
The toy itself is bloody awful as well...

The leader class figure is 'iceless' but he still has Metalic Blue paint apps to the 'ice' areas.
This is because they want a toy to have a minimum number of colors.
If he was all silver/grey then people would cry.
I am going to repaint my leader to be mostly metallic or grey... the blue is poo-poo.

The good thing is they're gonna do this version for the Premium Series Leader Class Megatron! They're gonna give him this paint job!

The Leader Class figure is beautiful. And yes it is iceless... I like it a lot more than G1 Megs if I'm honest but then I always thought he looked a bit bland, and hated his toy (finally sold off his ultra fiddly WST version, dunno why I bought that in the first place). Drawn by someone like Geoff Senior though he did look fairly cool.
Anyways this lil icon thing is cool but manual AA is really needed for these movie style ones to smooth out the jagged detailing.
