Sure. Thor "might" be the hero nowadays, but he has been such an ass for centuries. And his friends are too blinded by it. I always thought Sif and Loki shared some short of story, too.

Well, acording with comics, Loki also changed Sif's color hair... and remaked version of the original myth. But I guess it also fits the Moviverse. I also read in the ThorWika, Sif and Loki were friends in the past, but it isn't portrayed in the movie. I guess we fans, have an open field here

Yes, it was the original legend, but in comics it's different: Loki changed her hair color because he was pissed off with her or something. That's why she's dark haired in comics (and in movie, I presume).
I also had heard that, it would be "Lady Loki", but it seems the story is more complicated than that.
