Description I wanted to try a new technique for drawing fur but I didn't get it exactly how I wanted. oh well, didn't turn out too bad XD I'll be trying again soon OTL
This is kind of a mixture between a fox and a maned wolf, not sure which its closer to it this point.
let me know what you think!

Made with Krita~

Beautiful background!
I really like this new "kind" of fox, looks pretty interesting (even though I'm not familiar with this kind of art subject )!

Beautiful colors and atmosphere! I really like the contrast between the bright red-orange and the shades of green It looks more like a maned wolf to me

yep I use krita
I'm not sure what you would like me to explain haha.
If you have questions about brushes I use or techniques or anything else I can try to answer those feel free to ask any questions!

Okay, thank you a lot!
Which brush do you use for the pelage?
I looks really good and I actually draw a picture with pelage like this!
Greets!

I used a brush that Deevad made here: Krita brushes pack, version 6
its the 3rd one in the 5th row. (the one that is a pen drawing orange/yellow)
And I would change the opacity as I worked.

Okay thank you!
I used for my actual picture another brush, but I think it will also work.

I have a problem, maybe you have a tip for me.
Its because, I install the new krita, but as I start it, it show only this caskets (if something is transparent)...
Everytime I zoom in/out, it shows me this. I haven't no idea how to fix the problem. Any idea, who I can ask?

no problem

I'm not sure what your problem is exactly, but if you mean the checkerboard pattern that shows when you are working with a transparent background I could help you out.
It shows up as a checkerboard to let you know that this area will be transparent if you save the image as a png file (you will not see the checkerboard pattern when you save it as a png). I can help you change the colors of the pattern if you wanted to do that.
If you do not want the image to be transparent at all, then you can just have a layer and fill it with a solid color.
If its some kind of different problem it would be easier for me to help if you added a screenshot

Cool tip with the png file, but this isn't my problem.

It looks like a bug.
I have a background layer (filled with white) and then a transparent layer over it to draw on it. (I always work with more layers) But if I zoom in to see more details of my drawing and zoom out then... I only see this 'checkerboard'. But in real there isn't a checkerboard, rather my drawing!

At the moment I can't send a screenshot, because I deinstall the new version of krita. (I need it, so I work actually with the older one. That works well!) If I install it again, I can send a screenshot. (Maybe some weeks, don't know)

If you haven't a idea, do you know someone, who can help me? I thought maybe in the krita-group...

Pattern would be the next question.

ah that is a very interesting problem. I actually have never seen that happen before. The IRC on krita's website has people that can usually answer your questions. I think there are people on there who actually make the program so they would know best. krita.org/get-involved/overvie… there is a link on this page to the IRC.
Sometimes there are bugs in these programs because it is still in development. I think they are coming out with another release september 2nd. So maybe then it will be fixed anyway

Thank you a lot!
I put my question in a comment to the official krita-group, they said the same: to be patient.
I really hope that my bug is gone with the next update!

Sorry, for the late comment.
No, I didn't have the time yet, to install the new version again.

I will reply you, if the problem comes back.
Thanks!

It's very nicely done. Both character and background are pretty detailed and you used very well looking colours. When trying to figure out what kind of animal it is, my first impressions told me it's rather a fox. And nice perspective - it makes a feeling of being a much smaller creature looking at the fox and it makes it very interesting, too

Yeah I think I favored fox anatomy but I used the maned wolf for color choice and fur patterns. At least that's what I thought while making it
I'm glad you like it!

Nice job! I really like the color contrast between dark green and bright red-brown. The background's pretty sweet, too.
