To be completely honest, I did this (along with about five other quick paintings) as a requested wedding gift for my cousin. With about a week's notice. So as far as my personal take on this, I had to get a minotaur, a knight on a horse, and a girl with unicorns, among other paintings completed very quickly without the benefit of time to find good references. My choice of an equine facial structure over bovine has more to do with the fact that I was already painting so many horses and that I have much more experience painting horses than cattle as it is. I know. Not a very profound reason for my choice.

As for why others are doing this? It's hard to say. I think it might depend upon how a minotaur is being viewed by the artist. Is it a scary creature? Or is it being portrayed with more nobility, sympathy, or awe? I think as a general rule people feel more fondness and familiarity for horses than cattle, and if a minotaur is being viewed under any kind of positive light, this might have something to do with the trend. It seems to me a more bull-like or sometimes demonic appearance is used more often if the creature is meant to be disgusting or terrifying.

I wish I had my own play station.

What's his favorite game anyway? If I were to get a play station I want to make sure I have a game he likes so we can play together when he comes over play, and then we can eat pizza, and then go bug Pam because she is the devil.

Who said he plays games? He doesn't play games. He just likes to stare at it sadly because he has no opposable thumbs.

That's when I point and laugh at him. And then play DMC because I am endowed with prehensile thumbs. Bwahaaaa!
