"A nation with a battle fleet is not a country; it is an empire."Some quote I've heard somewhere on TV. An aerial fantasy analogy of a modern day aircraft carrier battle group with a new and improved version of my original battlecarrier as the fleet's focal point escorted by its carrier wing and defense airships. Battleships (and later carriers) allow nations to project their powers worldwide, i.e. take the war to the enemy. Before the invention of nukes, they were the superweapons of the day, and states used to sign arms limitation treaties focused on battleships.

gorgeous, a bit too clean-cut for my usual taste, but it reminds me of some of the models they'd use for Red Moon ((is that the name? )) or Dr. Who or Flash Gordon, y'know, those low-budget-but-still-kick-ass shows they occasionally still show at 2 or 3 am on some unwatched, uncared for channel >.<

One heck of an idea there guv'! Reminds me a lot of the airships in the early Final Fantasy series. How I loved them so much, I drew out one that didn't turn out quite well
Maybe I'll draw another sometime soon.
