I've mentioned this before but I consider colours to be my strongest trait in art. That's why I've decided to write a book on colour theory... Or at least attempt to do so.
This will be the cover of said book.

I wanted to make something that really illustrates how colours work and the magic of it. That's why i went with a prism. But rather than having it split up in all the colours of the rainbow, as would normally be the case, I made it split up in the RGB primary colours. Red, green and blue. The birds and feathers are the CMYK standard colours. Cyan, magenta and yellow.
I originally planned to have a white horse in the white light as well. But when I was almost done shading it I decided against it. It distracted and made it look like a poster for a circus.
I also considered making all the light beams out of coloured animals. But figured that would be too messy and the animals would be too small anyway.
I didn't wanted my book cover to be confused with Pink Floyd. But in the end a prism is a prism. I think by adding the bird and feathers I managed to make it my own anyway. In the end it wouldn't really be my style without some animals there.

I don't have any planned date for when the book will be finished or even if it will ever get published in traditional book form. I'm going to work on it at my own pace. If I can't get it published as a book it will be made into a PDF or other form of ebook instead.

Finished artworks for the book will be posted here as well. But the process will mainly be posted on my Twitter. So if you're interested in following that here's my Twitter .
