I've been telling this tom myself over and over for the past year +. It's great to see it in stamp for. If you don't mind me asking, what do you have that inspired this?

Not-Think In reply to random-kumquats [2011-03-11 22:40:15 +0000 UTC]

I can't tell you the exact name (I should know it, but I don't)- it has to do with extreme pain with weather changes

random-kumquats In reply to Not-Think [2011-03-11 23:14:46 +0000 UTC]

that does not sound pleasant.
is it muscle pain?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Not-Think In reply to random-kumquats [2011-03-12 04:18:38 +0000 UTC]

Nah, it's joint. The weird thing is that my blood work shows absolutely no arthritic indicators. I did get on a prescription high dose anti-inflammatory, which has helped immensely

Though I take it more like mental/emotional pain than physical

This is a good stamp. I have Ehlers-danlos syndrome. Having a pain syndrome my affect your life but it does not have to define you.

My back hurts because of scoliosis ... But most of the people don't even know I have it Thanx to painkillers xD And so my pain doesn't really define me, but it's a part of my life ...
Thanx for this stamp!

Not-Think In reply to lisabeatrix [2010-03-07 23:06:07 +0000 UTC]

Sure thing!
Being a chronic pain sufferer myself I can definitely sympathize. (Thank god for anti-inflammatories.)

The doctors, sadly, still don't know what I have. But they only said that currently, it's CFAP (Chronic Functional Abdominal Pain) But I'm so glad someone made a stamp of it! ^^

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Not-Think In reply to Roselinath [2010-01-31 01:55:39 +0000 UTC]

I'm in a similar situation. No one has any idea what causes my (on some days) debilitating joint pain. About the only option is to treat the symptom.
I'm glad my stamp can help -smiles-

crystalline-slumber [2010-01-30 05:58:20 +0000 UTC]

I definitely agree with this. :/ I'm getting really sick of people in my PE class calling me "That chick with Lyme disease." Afdskdjksl. It pisses me off to no end.

I must say, though. It does still play a pretty big part in making me who I am. But I wouldn't say it actually defines me.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Not-Think In reply to crystalline-slumber [2010-01-30 06:06:48 +0000 UTC]

Well, that's how I would put it. Yes, I do suffer chronic pain, but no, that is not all that I am.

midnight-writer1031 In reply to Not-Think [2010-01-28 22:09:34 +0000 UTC]

yep thats true, I have suffered from depression as for pain for majority of my life but thats true it doesnt make you who you are.

wingsail [2010-01-28 09:55:15 +0000 UTC]

It may not define me, but it does play a HUUUGE part in making me who I am.
Hope the anti-inflam's dont give you any grief - I had to stop taking mine because of the stomach problems they caused, reflux being one of them oddly enough......I think thats called irony......

random-kumquats In reply to wingsail [2011-03-11 15:59:10 +0000 UTC]

the anti-inflams did the same thing to me. The doctor mis-prescibed them. :-/

not-active-anymore In reply to Not-Think [2010-01-28 01:43:05 +0000 UTC]

Pretty easy, actually:
Refrain from greasy foods unless you have antacids nearby.

I have a considerably healthy diet, so I'm not too worried about it. c:
But when I do eat pepperoni or chicken fingers or something similar, best be prepared. D;
