I love the water effects, and pencil gradation.

Beautiful, as always. I'm always inspired by how you work out your experiences through your artwork. The emotions really shine through the sketches.Β

Beautiful work! I used to get motion sickness when I was a little kid but grew out of it. It must be scary to experience it if you have never had it before.

There's a definite sense of needing to escape in this piece, great stuff!

Wow beautiful!
I get motion sickness too--I have to buy those medicines that you can chew up and are grape flavored. I take one the moment I board a ship (my family likes to take cruises, we are lazy and spoilt, hahaha...) and then the rest of the week I am a-ok unless a bad storm hits.

I *never* ever got any motion sickness in my life. I've been travelling a lot in the car, I'm flying and also I'm a diver. But on the boat it's just... wow. I am taking now Avionmarin, which helps me a LOT but the side effect is that is making me feeling drowsy and very tired. So not the best when I have watches (responsible work, which I cannot fall asleep otherwise it's fucked up) on the boat... doesn't help me to stay alive x_x

Would you like a quick bit of critique on how to get an underwater effect going?

So when any kind of object lands in water you get quite a bit of water displacement, but the object (and especially living creatures like dogs or humans) drag air down with them and release it while coming down, so you get a lot of air bubbles coming especially from the mouth and nose. The way you drew the wolf with its open mouth yet no significant air bubbles makes it look almost as if he's coming out of clouds rather than water. Bubbles also get pulled down from fur and other surfaces, so you'll be getting quite a few clinging to his fur which should be streamline down the body due to the force of entry. The bubbles coming from the lower left hand corner of the page should be fairly small compared to the ones released from the wolf's mouth, nose, and fur. You've got some perspective going but not on the wolf which I suppose is the reason for those bubbles being the size they are, keeping perspective consistent here will have everything make sense. c:
tranquilmonkey.com/wp-content/β¦ this is a great shot because here you can see where the bubbles propagate the most. You can make your underwater drawings extremely dynamic by just figuring out when the animal you draw is exhaling. Hope this helps, I love your art and how much it has grown over so many years. c:
