This took a lot of trial and error to get running but finally its done. I promised everyone a video tutorial some time ago yet I never got around to doing it because I was either too busy or was in a rut with my colouring.LINK: [link]
Sorry the quality is sooo bad but this is the first time I have done something like this before.
This is a new and I belive improved method of painting which I have come up with. This is the second time ever I have used this method and the first time you guys will have seen it. It is faster and I belive it gives my work that extra punch.
I have changed my colour and layering methods, and most of all the brush I use is new and totaly different to the old one I used on all my previous paintings, a change for the better I think.
Tell me what you guys think of the video and my new method, I would really like to hear your thoughts.

There are no secrets.
It is probably best for you to work it out yourself because you will learn more that way and ultimatly be a better colourist.

Bookmarked it so I can watch it later. Just watched it real quick and I have some criticism: maybe you should add your voice for comments (just tell what you do, how you do it, etc.). If you think it takes too long that way, just slowly play the video with added voice commentary and after you explained a section, speed it up. That way people like me (people who are learning how to do it) can get a better understanding and it would be much better for us.

While the video is a little fast for my tastes and I would like some audio comments, I have to say it is very well done. I would really like to know what brush settings you used and your layer set up. I think this could be a very useful tutorial.

yeah i thoght it was cool that you did one base color for the whole body then did different highlights for each section. I usually do base for the skin.. then the shorts.. so that was cool to see!

Haha yea I usually do it that way as well but then I was studying how some pros do it and
they seem to do it this way in some circumstances. So Im giving it a whirl and I find it pulls the charcater together a lot better.

yeah i know martegod does it with one color then changing it when needed later on
