Description Modern man and his surroundings.

The building in the background is a "Espigueiro", and it can be made of wood or stone, depending the part of Portugal. [link]

gosto bastante desta, tudo aparentemente tão "pristine", tão tradicional ainda: o espigueiro, a bicicleta, a roupa

i haven't seen a dynamo since i was a kid and had one on my first bike. sad that batteries took over. maybe we should bring them back as a sustainable energy source

I knew you would post a comment on this one, Mike.
I now live in a area that was the home of "Orbita"; "Sirla"; "Siera"; and other known brands, made to last. As people here were made to last too, imagine...
I´ll show you another one soon.

What is the building used for? To store grain? As for the work, I love it. The highwy lines work perfectly with the subject and title. Thanks! -Rick

Was used for drying the thick corn, as the wind passed by the side cracks, and at the same time obstructing it´s destruction, for example by rodents, due to it´s elevation. How the corn is gathered in Fall, this construction is one of the most aired thing possible to dry it in a averse season like the Winter.
Thank you for input.
