Fumiko is an extroverted individual, nearly always the first to approach others, most commonly with a bright smile and no shortage of cheesy pickup lines. Thus so, she can be pegged as a rather shameless flirt even if her flirting is more so in lighthearted fun to tease her friends and platonic in most cases. Putting aside her playful nature, Fumiko is actually easy to get along with, she’s genuinely kind and dependable, having always been earnest, she’s a hard worker and intuitive. So, unlike some others, she performs well or even better under pressure and though she’s never been the smartest she’s always been a fast learner especially in practice or from her mistakes.
Despite being an exuberant character Fumiko tries to be mature, wanting to be viewed as a reliable and responsible person, Fumiko can be the “mom” of a friend group; She cares too much about the wellbeing of her friends and the type of person who has band-aids and snacks on hand at all times. She’s wonderful at taking care of others though the same cannot be said for herself. Fumiko is gregarious, she tries to befriend everyone she meets which isn’t too hard when you’re as seemingly charismatic as she is. Though it is worth mentioning, she’s not nearly as mature as she’d like you to believe. She gets carried away too easily. She’s always been excitable and with a silent need to prove herself so she tends to be ambitious and competitive, trying to one-up others, even with the most menial of tasks. All in all, she thrives in the company of others yet at the same time she seems exceedingly desperate for said company, and she definitely is.
Fumiko’s greatest fear is abandonment, terrified being alone, she wants the assurance, approval, and attention of others. So, she’s developed a complex of acting the way people want her to be and overcompensating by taking on more work than she can sometimes manage in her attempts to seem more capable. She tries desperately to hide her immaturities and faults while forcing herself to be cheerful and likable 24/7, acting with only the thought of pleasing others, she’s dishonest especially of her opinions or emotions and has absolutely no qualms with lying, as long as it benefits others. Fumiko is fully convinced that any weakness in her facade she shows will change the way people view her as someone who’s troublesome and a disappointment. Promptly causing them to leave her, she’s delusioned into believing that without her mask she’s nothing. As such she will always have a smile on her face, no matter how hard she has to force herself and she’s exceedingly tolerant of others no matter what they do or say to her. Even if she’s aware of malcontent she will feign ignorance just to continue to please others. For that reason, Fumiko is very easily influenced by others and peer pressure, willing to do just about anything she’s told to do so taking advantage of her is no hard task. Yet in fear of abandonment, she can come off as clingy and somewhat needy in her silent wish for attention. She regards the friends she does have at a high standard and aside from being endlessly affectionate to them, she tends to be protective and borderline possessive of them. Getting jealous when they pay more attention to others though she rarely makes a show of it.
Though, just because Fumiko tries so hard to hide her flaws doesn't mean she’s without them nor does it mean she never slips up. Regardless of Fumiko’s attempts to seem mature, she’s actually awkward and quite insecure, much more sensitive to the actions of others than she lets on. Fumiko may seem to be a confident individual at a moment's glance, judging from her outgoing nature but she’s far from it, she lacks a lot in self-confidence and can even be called self-loathing, quick to take the blame herself when mistakes are made. She doesn’t view herself as very important, especially in the bigger picture or in comparison to others so she tends to be foolish and reckless, she doesn’t think through a lot of her decisions and acts purely on instinct, leading her to a number of dangerous situations while also lacking in the judgment or intelligence to get herself out not to mention, lacking in common sense in general. Her fear of abandonment, self-loathing tendencies, and overly caring nature has led her already altruistic moral system to go to the extent that it’s unhealthy. Simply, she stubbornly cares too much for the wellbeing of others and not in the slightest for her own even if it goes against the wishes of the people she’s trying to help in the first place. So she can be extremely meddlesome in the private affairs of others.
History:
Fumiko tends to avoid going into the topic of her past and family life in particular so there’s not much known about her.
- Nishida, a name many may recognize due to the work of Shiro, a very popular singer and model as well as Akio, a former pro hero who later inherited and became CEO of an exceptionally large corporation specializing in making hero outfits and equipment though also credited for manufacturing electronics. Fumiko is their oldest child yet she hasn't made much of an appearance in the media since she was four.
- Was under the care of Yoshe, a former sidekick of Akio's and family maid for the majority of her life
- Attended Hataraki Junior High and had a rough time there thanks to the efforts of three girls.

Fumiko’s quirk is basically the control of her neurons and the electrostatic messages and impulses they transmit. It requires knowledge, control, and focus to even use her quirk properly and not accidentally damage her neurons (i.e. resulting in blindness, deafness, etc.), but rest assured, failure to control her quirk has some insurance. She can repair damaged neurons. As for how long it takes for her to repair said neurons, it’s largely dependent on how much she sleeps.
With very little effort Fumiko can accelerate the speed electrostatic signals and impulses are sent throughout her body, giving her enhanced reflexes and reaction speed which allows her to take great advantage of her close combat expertise and dodge attacks with ease. In addition, it also accelerates the speed she's able to process information. However, It speeds up her metabolism in the process and still results in a significant amount of stamina drain. This is her best-mastered skill.
The main function of her quirk, however, is increasing or decreasing the effects of her five senses (those being taste, sight, smell, hearing, and touch). Done so by modifying the speed of which neurons convert external stimuli into internal electrical impulses. She can only handle one adjustment at a time. The effectiveness of the adjustment measured 0-100%. Effects are as follows
Smell: Decreased sense of smell when nullified. Increased sense of smell, good for investigation but it makes everything smell more pungent
Sight: Causes close vision when nullifying and far vision when amplifying.
Hearing: Decreased ability to hear when nullified and increased hearing ability when amplified.
Touch: By removing her sense of touch past 50% she’s able to endure more pain in the sense it allows her to ignore it better in order to fight longer and more effectively. Keep in mind, nullifying her sense of touch doesn’t actually remove damage and any existing damage feels extra painful when the ability is first disabled.
Removing her sense of touch completely can be dangerous, and reserved as a last resort. At any percentage of nullification, lack of the sense of pain tends to make her reckless and to forget her limits since she can’t keep track of how much damage is taken though this ability does not exempt her from fatigue and headaches past the 3-minute mark.
Drawbacks:Stamina - Fumiko’s stamina pool acts as a “battery” for her quirk’s usage. While her quirk is active her stamina is drained at a rapid rate. This can easily cause a case of drowsiness and fatigue if Fumiko uses her quirk for too long, too frequently, or even too strongly without breaks in between. If not kept in check she can pass out. Usually takes at least a 30-minute power nap to fully regain stamina if she hasn’t blacked out yet.
Mental Strain - Due to the focus needed to adjust her senses she tends to get headaches that range from minor annoyance to head-splitting migraines that build up in strength over time.
Headaches start to occur post using anything stronger than a 40% increase for 3 minutes. Migraines start to seriously affect her ability to fight at the 10-minute mark.
In serious cases of overuse, it can lead to some damage to the brain, albeit reversible.
Focus - Fumiko’s quirk, and namely sense adjustments take focus to apply and maintain. Meaning, her sense adjustments can be affected or disabled as long as you or any existing environmental obstacles disrupt her focus. What more with prolonged use of her quirk the headaches and fatigue can wear on her ability to maintain said focus. Loud Noises, Surprises, Migraines, etc. can undo or even change her adjustments, For example, a 10% adjustment of increased hearing can jump to 100% upon being startled.
Sensitivity - When modifying her senses, the adjustment is applied near instantly and doesn’t give her time to adapt so she may be overwhelmed for a few seconds prior to applying a strong effect and it can result in a headache or worse.
Worst Case Scenario:
As stated above Fumiko’s quirk requires a great amount of knowledge and control for her quirk to function properly with. As such, without proper amounts of both and without keeping her limits in mind, she can very easily damage some of her neurons, resulting in temporary blindness, anosmia, etc. until she can repair it. When that happens sleep is the most effective way for Fumiko’s neurons to heal. Since her nervous system is relatively inactive during this time, it gives her body time to focus on repairs. In the case of large-scale damages such as mass damage to neurons (damaging 3 or more of her senses), she can go comatose. It is worth mentioning that in most cases damages to the brain’s nerves and neurons can be repaired but one thing that she can’t fix is memory, as memory isn’t a neuron or a nerve it’s a pattern. Rest assured though, such an event has only happened once.

Fumiko’s quirk’s strengths lie in its versatility. The main function being the gathering of information, able to locate citizens in a disaster scenario or help with investigation. Can also be used offensively, as when pairing enhanced reflexes with Fumiko’s proficiency in martial arts she can be effective in close combat.
Strengths:
Quick learner - Fumiko is not the sharpest tool in the shed, she lacks a lot of common sense and has never been particularly book smart. Regardless, she's always picked up habits and information quickly from mistakes and in practice.
Agility - Since Fumiko’s is largely focused as a close combat fighter, she’s highly reliant on her ability to get close to the enemy and without any real defensive capabilities she needs to be evasive. So, Fumiko is fast. She’s built light and nimble, she has her boosted reflexes and is surprisingly flexible to boot, making her both fast and hard to hit.
Close Combat - Fumiko’s strongest suit is her skill in martial arts. She excels in close combat and despite her appearances is physically strong. Having been trained every day for years she’s grown to be a skilled fighter able to hold her ground even against some pro heroes.
Works well under pressure - Unlike many others Fumiko works exceedingly well and perhaps even her best under heavy stress or pressure.
Versatile - Fumiko’s quirk and close combat ability enables her to be useful to some extent in any situation, be it investigation or search by acting like a K9 unit or fighting on the front lines like she usually is.
Cooperative - Fumiko is exceedingly tolerant and to her core someone who's easy to get along with and talk to so she works well with others.
Weaknesses:
Impulsive - Her biggest weakness in perhaps her impulsiveness to jump straight into a battle unless plans have been discussed beforehand. She’s a man of action and doesn't think her decisions through until after she’s made them.
Distance - Given she’s a close combat fighter, that relies heavily on martial arts, distance is not her best friend. Often times emitter and long ranged attacks will prove extremely effective
Defense - Though her pain endurance is high, she has no defense against any quirk that can do serious damage. She can always remove her sense of pain but the damage will always remain.
Water - She can’t swim… at all, throwing her into a body of water is a death sentence. So needless to say she doesn’t function well in water environments
Altruistic - If it means protecting or helping those she finds dear, Fumiko is fully willing to put her body through a beating and never give up until her limits get to her.
Control - Her quirk control is a little shaky. She often times will apply an effect that's too strong or weak which will affect her focus.

Family - More so the idea of a perfect family, she idolizes the fantasy given her home life is so depraved. Sweets - She has a major sweet tooth, her favorite food being a blueberry cheesecake though she’s not the best baker.
Martial Arts - Her only redeeming skill is in martial arts and so she tends to cling to it, practicing it on a daily basis. She specializes in kickboxing and jujitsu styles of combat
Cooking - Surprisingly she’s a wonderful chef and with the habit to cling to the things she’s good at she enjoys it. She will without a doubt cook meals for everyone though it’s a bit funny how she can make a highly technical dish with ease but struggles to bake
Music - She can play a wide arrange of instruments, though she’s best at piano having played it since she was 3. That aside, she’s also a great singer.
Puns may or may not be her favorite thing in existence.
Food - Due to the sped up metabolism from increasing her reflexes she tends to eat… a lot
Dislikes:
Cold - She was born with a rather weak immune system so she gets sick a lot more during the winter and when exposed to the cold for too long so she much prefers warm weather. Sour Foods - After a small incident where Fumiko increased her taste sensitivity then ate a lemon she’s been traumatized and tries to avoid an excess of sour foods.
Loneliness - She has a lot of abandonment issues and some separation anxiety so needless to say she absolutely despises being alone.
Coffee - Can’t handle too much caffeine since it’s bitter enough to give her a headache
Water - Can’t swim in the slightest, once got pushed into pool and nearly drowned so she tends to avoid it.
Home - Going back to her disdain for loneliness. It’s a huge manor but it's too empty, she feels unwanted
Losing - She can be competitive and stubborn at times so she hates losing even if she usually won’t make a big deal of it.
Fun facts:
She can play the piano very well, but since the grand piano is at home she owns a melodica she likes to carry around with her on occasions
