FINALLY. I'VE DEVELOPED A NEW COLORING STYLE OF MY OWN !!! HOPE YOU LIKE !!! but it's still developing, I hope to keep making it better and a style I can proudly call my ownthis is another lineart of s, which I tried out my new coloring style on (the first time you guys have seen it, but I've been developing it for a bit). I hope you don't mind that I used my experimental coloring technique on your line art sakukko. I can redo it if you want to see it colored in my older, normal style of coloring
the blue didn't turn out the best on the umbrella, but I really like how the dress came out. also, I need to find better palette combos to do the skin in this style. again, I'm experimenting XD

It also reminds me of the old water-coloring books where you would wet the pages and it would have color, with patterns inside of it.

Well, it was for really little kids, for when parents didn't want to deal with messy paints, crayons or markers.
Can't really ruin much with water.

dawwww, thanks, I'm glad you like my new coloring style.
and I used a specialized photoshop brush, and with it, I made 4 varying hues for each color, the whole hue for the piece's color, a darker hue to the right, a lighter hue to the left, and spockles of a much lighter hue throughout, all using the same brush (may make a tutorial when the style's more developed and if enough people want to learn the style, but for now, XD)
and lol, personally I feel the umbrella's too saturated, but if you like it, then awesome

well I'm ready to learn anytime XD and I always wanted to make a person with an umbrella but I suck at drawing objects and animals >n< I'll upload an art dump soon to show you XD~

and alright, sounds good. and if you feel you suck at objects and animals, then draw them more. drawing what you aren't good at will help you get better at it

I love this coloring style!! its really unique 
in regards to skin colors pinks are usually are nice to mix into skin color palettes for light skin
and i tend to think of burgundies as good colors to include when shading dark skin (although that might just be me lol)

lol thanks lol, I didn't even think of the pointillism when I did it, I was just playing around with photoshop brushes for a while, then this style developed in response to me hating to blend/smudge colors. it takes a lot of palletes to look nice, but it's cool, and oh ho, van gogh ish you say eh? awesome XD
yeah, I'll have to brew up some of my own pink ish skin palettes, as there weren't any good pink hues in the stock swatchs of photoshop (what I mainly use, as all the related colors are close to each other and organized with the swatches, invaluable for this style)

dear me, thanks a lot . I've been working behind my usual submissions on making a new coloring style, and this is the result. still need to work out some bugs (like finding better hues for skin, and how to keep some areas from looking too color overloaded like the umbrella), but overall, I find the style really fun to do, and I like the results

do you mean how come I can't really work on improving my line art until I get the tablet? well, I've tried a few different brushes and such over the line art with the mouse, but I feel I'll have to rework the line art style anyway once I start using the tablet, as I hear it's very different and a bit hard to get used to. that, and I can start using my tablet in about a week anyway, and technically I shouldn't really be focusing on art now on account of my big IB exams that test four years of material (why? ............) going on this week and next, so yeah, I'm putting it off for a bit

Yep and Alright. You need to find a good pen pressure for the lineart. I am a sucker for clean lineart.

dawww, really? thanks, I've been doing a ton of trail and error on coming up with a style, and this is the result.
yeah, I plan to develop this style much more and use it a lot more, it's really a blast and so fun to do, and I love not have to smudge or fade anything. though picking out the right hues can be hard, it really is fun to do.
