Sometimes politics in a company of war-trained men who had been arguing over the same points for ages could get violent. The robes for the Council of the Realm were designed by one Sven Alvason a ten-hundred years ago. No one wanted to repeat the happenings of the Dark Friday Bloodbath of that fateful midwinter afternoon, an event that was usually just referred to as "the bloodbath", since it had been very different from the regular fights of Asgardian nobility. Tyr had been there, and he had been younger then. So had Forseti, Aegir and Freyr. And the four were the only survivors, mostly because they had fled before the day ended.
Though for Loki the robes themselves were nearly enough a reason to star another bloodbath. It was impossible to lift his arms or to run in the heavy garbs, and most days he felt like he was going to get boiled alive under the layers of leather and thick fabrics. The trip to the architectural office was infuriating, and more so because everyone he passed by was staring at him. Still.

"Excuse me? That regulation didn't even exist when the plans for that building were approved. It is already being built and you come here to tell me that we have to restart because of a missing stamp?"
"Yes," Loki managed to say, exhausted even though the architect's rage wasn't aimed at him, "And I can escort you to the palace so you can tell your disapproval of the procedures to the men of the office yourself."
