Description Bodnant Garden Part 1Bodnant Garden Part 1 - House and Grounds
In a sheltered valley next to the River Conwy https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/River_Conwy  in North West Wales lies Bodnant Garden https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/lists/spring-gardens-in-wales?dfaid=1 , the most famous country house garden in Wales and one of the most famous in the whole of the UK for its history, its unique features, and its range of plants, shrubs and trees. I was lucky enough to visit the Garden recently and to take a few photographs. The Garden, some 80 acres, has been run by the National Trust since 1949 https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/lists/spring-gardens-in-wales?dfaid=1, but its history dates back to 1875 when a Georgian house first built in the late 1700s was bought and progressively rebuilt by one Henry Pochin a very successful Victorian industrialist. Glad that this has brought back happy memories, Linda. This was the most luxuriant part of the Garden when we visited as it should have been as all the plants etc are winter/spring species.

Many thanks

David
