This is a great example of dramatic lighting and makeup effects combined to create a very dark and forboding image. Excellent composition, setup, and execution.

Thats a very great shot. The eye is very penetrating and personal. The focus and the detail is really amazing in the shot and all the subtle detail really adds a lot to the power of the image. i just awesome!!

ugh.. i looked at the pic again... I think BOTH versions look lovely.. either a tigghtly cropped square of your beautiful face or the way you have it setup... so i dont know what to say

wow I really like this peice usually I dont venture far into commenting or viewing other peices but i really like this one. I think the ONLY thing I coudl suggest out of this lovely peice :] would be that you'd crop a little off the left I understand the need for black to contrast the white but you could kill a little bit of the dead space that way we can focus a little more on your beautiful eyes. Actually now that I looked at it again you could even crop more off the right side too [your ear] so that way its a very asymetrical image and equal visual weight. Anyway have a lovely day! love you! mabye i'll check out your work. we'll see :[]

Nice work, i love the lighting in this shot, and especially the casting of shadows to the left creating this dark negative space, realy wonderfull effect, and the pose and expression are wonderfully captured in this perspective, i realy love how sharp the jump between white and darkness goes, nice contrast levels, works realy well in black and white, great work.

It has a masochistically curious feel to it all, as if pain or reality were registered as just abstract concepts. The lighting creates a great contrast and brings out the sensuality of the lips and eye. My favorite part is the small dot/mole; adds much character.
The drawn lines are curious, like spiders legs or a gag, but altogether appropriate in their sharp curving angles--which matches the tone and use of B&W.

*whistles* stunning, as you always seem to be. I love the contrast in this; and the way it seems like a profile shot and yet the angle denies it the chance to be so. Your eye is beautifully complimented by the makeup, it echoes the line of your eyelid with such simplicity...
