Rattlesnake Jake has to be my favorite snake in a film. He's big, he's scary, he's got a sweet hat and an even sweeter gun-tail, he's a vicious killer with a few slivers of honor embedded in the cockles of his black heart, and he's voiced by none other than Bill Nighy, and not in that stupid, worn-out hissy-voice every other cartoon gives to snakes.Mango seems to like him too, though I can't say the same for Jake.

oh. but still good pic. if you think about it Rattlesnake Jake sorda reminds you of John Marston from Red Dead Redemption the hat and the gun belt? john had 2 gun belts one across his chest. a the other hung from h shoulder to his waist like a satchel.

Very well done. The detail is great and so is the shading. Mango's so cute. I totally agree about how annoying it is that snake characters always have hissy voices.

Same here. It's one of the many cartoon animal cliches that I personally dislike, like turtles with removable shells, or how all poodles are female. In fact, pretty much every breed of dog has some designated gender, though the new Pound Puppies show subverts that with a female boxer.

I've got a snake character I'm developing still. I imagine what all my characters sound like and I definitely didn't choose a hissy voice for him. Yeah, someone does something in a cartoon and it just catches on like that.

I can tell these two are exact opposite of each other:
Jake: Creepy, mean yet honorable outlaw with a gun on his tail!
Mango: A fun-loving, party dude who loves nothing more then to make friends with just about anyone...including people like Jake!

That's pretty much it, yeah. Though Mango has a bad habit of eating people he makes friends with. He just gets overexcited, that's all.
