For some time I was playing with Google Sketchup and making ships and tanks for a fictional futuristic space Federation of humans and Dar'Ut [link]

Now I decided to introduce some antagonists for the Federation! So behold the most well described and original aliens in history, H. P. Lovecraft Elder Things (aka. Old Ones), this little guys here [link]

Elder Things are pretty old sentient beings in the universe, and they colonized Earth loooong before the dinosaurs even exist. Now they back from the depths of space to reclaim their ancient colony...

This mix of space age future and lovecraftian horrors was very well used in the wonderful Role Playing Game CthulhuTech [link]

So far so good, humanity is starting to see and taste the mighty of the technology used by the Elders. This lightning-fast ship was nicknamed "The Eye" by those that saw it and survived to tell the story. Just a dozen of "Eyes" were captured for study, and not all in good shape.

The ship is made of a mix of either organic and non-organic materials, and have a very eerie design and very alien internal parts. The ship moves by bending the space-time, in speeds far faster than the speed of light, but in near space or atmosphere, it moves by hydrogen suction, like a turbine.

It have two very strange cannons that rotates at lightspeed, transforming hydrogen atoms in energy package like lasers and shooting them. As far as humanity and Dar'Ut know, no metal is strong enough to resist the Elder hydrocannons, and almost anything can be cutted in half after some minutes of exposure to the beam.
