Here we finally have a solid reference for Mach's physical build as it is in the story. Up until now I've been making do with the generic male stallion bodytype. I considered the Flim/Flam/Cheese Sandwich/Trenderhoof body, but it was just too square and not at all appropriate for the sleek pegasus look I wanted to convey.
So here I've created a hybrid of Fleur and a stallion to create what is in effect, a lanky athletic pony.
STR 2, ladies and germs. Drink in your hunky Enclave protagonist.

If by "found a way" you mean "spliced a stallion with Fleur," then yes. Yes I have. This is just for Mach, anyway. He's lanky by nature.
I'm trying to do things that make my work stand out from the show style. I already do my wings in a unique fashion, I think I'm also going to start using pointy hooves like Mach has here. I was going to add little fetlock and chest fuzzies, but it was taking too long to find something I agreed with.

Heh. There's no bad way to make one's style evolve. Still better than the metric tons of skinned ponies filling my anatomy studies folders.
And really, tis a neat evolution from show-style. Take your time with stuff, of course. Things tend to evolve quite naturally into what you want as time goes on.
Also yay for the update on how I mentally picture good ol' Mach. Might have to try my hand at it when I have time.
