Description Based on the 7th season STTNG final episode "All Good Things".

In a Q instigated fictional anti-time future the refitted Enterprise-D under command of Admiral Riker de-cloaks and attacks a Klingon Negh'var battle cruiser to aid the U.S.S. Pasteur.

---

Background: Starfield by me.

Meshes: Galaxy-class refit based on a mesh by Prologic9, with added geometry by EremiticWolf and textures by PolyGone, Negh'var cruiser by William Burningham.

Composition: Scene and lighting setup in LW, final composition in PS including glow effects, blurs, ripples, explosions and phaser fire. Added slight blue-ish tinge and grain for TV effect.

Star Trek © Paramount Pictures, All Rights Reserved.

Original size: 2500x1400 plus frame.

Total time approx. 11 hours incl. render time and updated version and 102 layers in PS.

---

Comments and critique welcome as usual. Full view recommended. Enjoy.

Update: As was pointed out by ~kuckuk333 the Klingon ships attacked by the Enterprise-D in this episode are indeed not Vor'cha cruisers, but in fact Negh'var class ships. Serves me right for not double checking this prior to creating the original render working solely from memory!

I guess my mind conceived two Negh'var class battle ships as too far an overkill to go after an Olympic-class supply ship, but hey, we're talking about Klingons here... either way, updated the scene now featuring a Negh'var battle cruiser.

Thanks again to ~kuckuk333 for the keen eye! I hang my head in shame.

Updated SEP 2012.

Thanks. I just wanted to show the entire scene in a single image. Getting the angle right was a nightmare. And the Enterprise dreadnought is several 100,000 polygons. I'm currently only working on my 4 year old laptop with a mere 1.5 GB RAM, so that can be a challenge at times!

Mine, too! I made her in LEGO Digital Designer. In one piece, I've got her orbiting around Cybertron.

Thank you. It certainly is an interesting design. I guess that's the nice thing about "potential future scenarios". You can do whatever the hell you want without sound overly ridiculous (quote: "Warp 13, Engage!").

That was a quick update!

Well, yeah. All I had to do was rerender the Negh'var alone instead of the Vor'cha within the same scene so the lighting would fit and then I just had to replace the ship in the finished Photoshop file and make some minor adjustments. Still 3 hours worth of 'work', but... yeah.

one small nitpick: in the tv-show it wasn't the Vor'Cha-Class but a vessel of the Negh'Var-Class...

Was it really?... I guess I should double check episodes before I do something like that. Well, I will see if I can update that!
