HAPPY BIRTHDAY to !An idea I had for his Gamma Fleet Operations, featuring two of his ships, the Sovereign-class U.S.S. Honor and the Nebula-class U.S.S. Monitor.
The title related to the disposal of the bug shaped Jem'Hadar fighters...
COMPOSITION: Starfield rendered and then composited with my nebula matte painting in Photoshop. Scene setup and render in Lightwave with final composition (including all FX) in Photoshop.
MESHES: Nebula class by Luca Silingardi, Sovereign class by Ralph Schobert, Danube class Runabout by Thomas Slanitz, Peregrine class by Arctorus, Hideki class by D. Bates & Jem’Hadar fighter by William Burningham.

Thank you. Yeah I pay attention to that. It's obviously an Ent-E base, but I change the details. If the 3D model doesn't allow for it, then Photoshop will have to step in. In this case I believe it was the latter.

Thank you. You need to elaborate a little on what "NF" is, because neither my brain, nor a search engine can find any definitive correllation that makes sense at this point; except for "Star Trek New Frontier" which would then mean something about the U.S.S. Excalibur (either Ambassador or Galaxy class). If that's the case give me a few specifics and I might just put it on my list. Or, explain what NF is, if it's not 'New Frontier'.

Well, have a look, there was an older 'interactive movie' type computer game called "Star Trek Borg"; it's made up like an episode. You are a crew member and must prevent some kind of Borg invasion. Several Trek actors are part of it, too, including John de Lancie ("Q"). It's older and might not run easily on current computers, but I enjoyed it quite a bit when it came out (sometime in the 90s).

Love seeing that Nebula kicking ass. Ever since I played ST:Armada2 I loved the Nebula Class ships. In STO I fly a Magellan which is just a more armoured style of Nebula. Glad to see her all dolled up in this pic.

I guess that's right. I have an affinity for blue. I guess simply because space is cold and the more blue and darker a color, the more it conveys that. I also don't like oversaturation, because it turns things into toys. Extremely bright colors on machinery are unrealistic in my opinion (certain sports cars not withstanding). Direct (flashlight) lighting is also unrealistic, even if you look out of the window. I guess I just translate what I see (more or less).
Thanks for that though; I guess it's not a bad thing to have a 'unique' style. I never liked 'mass production'. Ditto by the way. Your stuff certainly fits that brand as well!
