Just finished reading the new Percy Jackson book--Trials of Apollo. Had to give this poor pitiful self-obsessed god some love. <3• Photoshop CC & Intuos Pro + Lightroom
• 4 hours
• finally broke down and googled 'eyes looking up' after 2 hours of trying and failing to get the eyes right so I could trace that s**t, and obviously the t-shirt graphic is photoshopped on there 'cause ain't nobody got time for all that hand-drawn type.
EDIT: Updated 2017 to fix some issues with the lighting, color, and face structure ---basically everything. +4 hours, no refs

the t-shirts are the easy part! (the nose on this one has been killing me, haha) Adding shirt stuff is just Overlay layer style magic and a bit of Warp tool. I like messing around with photoshop effects.

haha, why a donut tree?? No he's looking longingly at the sun because he used to be the sun god. Honestly I tried not to make it too melodramatic but ... melodrama suits him.
