Description
An ink commission for BlackGodFish of an osprey with a slit throat, to serve as a symbol/sigil for a slain lord in the novel they are working on. I tried to keep the gore more artistic/less realistic/stylized, but the bird itself seems to have gotten a little carried away!Higgins non-waterproof sepia calligraphy ink on Arches 140 lb hot press watercolor paper, approx. 9 x 12" (22.86 x 30.48 cm)

Oh my god! My first thought was about how strong and sad you depicted the influence of men on nature. Then I read the description. Meh, I think it is because I am an ecologist

Thank you so much! I don't know how I always manage to forget my love of ink, it's always just felt so... right. I'd like to get a better grasp at pen and ink, but I need to modify my pen handles to eliminate horrendous cramping and free up my strokes!
