I love lambs!These two are Texel/Kent crosses, based on photos I took at the farm I was working at last year. They grazed the sheep in apple orchards, so the lambs would often huddle up under the trees.

Yeah they do get poo encrusted wool sadly, you have to use shears to chop it off in a process charmingly named "dagging"

There's something extra cute about knowing they are snuggled up in an orchard.

You know, when you mention sheep + apple orchards, all I can think of are the stories about ruminants eating fruit and fermenting it into cider inside their insides...

Haha I've not heard those - the ewes really liked being fed apples. We would bring a crate of apples along to the top of a hill using a tractor then tip the crate over and watch as the sheep chased the apples down the hill. It was amazing.

Sleeping randomly, leaning against trees for balance, sloppy advances on other ewes while the ram whoops in the background?
