Thank you! Of course I am borrowing a pretty big lens... but I am finally getting the hang of using the Nikon... and that was handheld, no time to grab the tripod.

the d90 is a good little camera,if you can spring for a D300 or even a d5100 you'll some improvements over the d90 and the d5100 uses the latest color and processing engine that exceeds the d90's innards at a lower cost

Anything more (except buying my own lenses so that I don't have to borrow them, LOL) will be a long way off... I got a good deal on the D90 body. But I will keep track of the technology.
