another time when dA destroys images quality while rescaling them
i already deleted many images just after posting them. i'll keep this for the moment...

Il y a quelque chose qui me fait penser au Japon, le rose des cerisiers, la douceur des couleurs, le masque clair du visage et des mains, j'aime beaucoup.
J'ai dû refaire la photo d'une aquarelle aujourd'hui, c'était vraiment moche, la couleur semblait passée à certains endroits. De toute façon, rien ne vaut l'original

Preview quality went down the drain, when dA changed their image services to these Wix-servers. The only way to "offer" works without a change is to also offer the full resolution work as a download. But this doesn't change the preview at all, really sucks.

Do you have a link to another upload of the same image, maybe? Because this looks really pretty (and at the same time mystifying) to me... would be nice to compare it to something you had in mind.

Uploading your own artwork to a website is always a compromise between our ideal of quality and the realities of keeping the file size small... for the benefit of the viewers, and helping the images load quickly.
I think that your work—what I have seen so far—shows your appreciation of beauty and sensitivity, and that comes through no matter what image compression does!

i tried to upload it at higher resolution, apparently the problem comes from dA's display and not the size of the image.

je pensais y créer une page professionnelle parce c'est la première chose que l'on me demande quand je dis que je suis photographe.
maintenant tu me fais hésiter, le but étant par définition de montrer que je fais des images de qualité.
les grandes surfaces monochromes sont tout pixellées (je viens d'inventer un nouveau mot, j'imagine)
c'est vrai qu'elles sont hyper editees ces photos, donc cela doit etre inhérent a la compression de l'image elle-meme. ajoutons celle de dA et on obtient ce resultat

Tu peux toujours faire une page FB pour relayer vers ta galerie ou ton site principal. C'est ce que je fais. Beaucoup aime suivre ce qu"il se passe et FB pour relayer les nouvelles.
