Thanks a lot... my backgrounds can sometimes be a collage of 4-7 images and then all the added atmosphere layers in front and behind the heroine, some being very subtle

Yes indeed, I look back at some of my renders and say WTF, but then again some of them were done just this last week... LOL
I had a quick look at your page and you're well on your way.. The only critic I would give is... and please note I'm not a daz user, but try and get your figures feet firmly on the ground with no gap.... in Poser you can do front view and side right/left flat, then I do a check to ensure some part of the feet/shoe/boot is as good as touching the ground or ground prop... that's not the case in all your renders just some I spotted (otherwise they look like they're floating a little)....but otherwise great lighting and colour

I didn't read your full comment earlier. I was reading it on my phone in a restaurant and didn't see that last part.
Daz is very similar in that I can switch to front and side views to see if the characters are on the ground or not. The issue right now is that I am doing most of my renders with just the figure due to hardware limitations, so there are no floor or walls. In the one render where Jamie is kneeling, it looks like she is floating, but I actually had her below 0 on the Y axis. The lighting was causing some odd shadows in the floor free render that made her look like she was floating after I added in the background image in post.
I plan to purchase a more powerful GPU with more Vram soon, so I will be able to do full scenes without crippling my PC.

I do indeed! Props and hair are were it's at... most clothes are not very well made... hence the reason for most of mine being 2nd skin textures
