You drew a guy! Haha, nah, this is quite good actually. And yeah, if you don't want such a stiff neck, try some smoother lines and not so much hard details on the neck muscles and near the throat, etc. I "think" that should help, but yeah the neck doesn't really bend that much. But some smooth curved lines can help to give the effect of a smoother neck.

Other than the actually thickness of the neck, which is frighteningly skinny... I'm not quite sure I like the stiffness of it, makes it seem like he snapped his neck D:
