Description
The various Comics I am working on, have planned, or may never make.Survival you all know. Ongoing Series that has no planned end. Takes place after the first movie. Just redrawing the old pages before making new pages.
Different Path. An AU comic Series that is nowhere near as long as Survival. Taking place BEFORE the first movie.
Cats Cradle. Tailspin Crossover that is temporarily postponed. Still accepting scripts to fill the gap.
Sacrifice. I only have private doodles of this one. The comic itself was destroyed in the Harddrive crash. Plan to draw again however AFTER Different Path and/or Cats Cradle is complete. Medieval Kingdoms.
Stolen. Another AU only instead of meeting Taka as an adolescent. They meet when he is still a cub. May not draw this one.
Border Affair. Guilty Pleasure Comic. Probably will only be over on FA if I ever draw it.
Betrothal. Lioness Scar. Enough said. May not draw either.
Kings Ransom. Human!verse. Probably will never draw this one.
So yeah. Ya haven't seen me in several days. Family is coming... blah blah blah. Can't do shit with them here. For once NOT looking forward to it. Cuz none of them have bothered to call and tell me they are coming. Only found out cuz the cousin who could not come ratted them out. Was supposed to be a surprise apparently... Eight freaking people showing up all at once to sleep on your floor for who knows how many days is NOT a GOOD SURPRISE DAMNIT! So will be out of touch for awhile... also backed up on comments and notes I need to reply to... Sorry.
But anyway. Yeah... comics. In progress, planned, and probably never come to fruition ones. But thought I should post SOMETHING.

In King's Ransom would Samson still have his inverted eyes or would they be normal with yellow irises?

I believe... He would still have white schlera but his irises would have red rims.

I'm liking the Stolen, Border Affair, and Betrothal ideas, they just seem really interesting. I'm guessing Scar/Taka isn't full-grown in Border Affair? Scar/Taka doesn't seem to have a full-grown mane in the picture. Poor Scar/Taka looks really scared in the Stolen picture, but considering how big Samson is, even when he isn't even full-grown at this point, it isn't surprising why Scar/Taka looks so scared, even without considering the probable horror stories about rogues. I'm mostly interested in Stolen because of the possible Cub!Scar/Taka cuteness. Plus, I'm really curious to see how being taken as a cub would change things. And with Betrothal, I'm interested in due to my fascination with Lioness!Scar and how being born as a lioness would have changed things and what would have stayed the same. I'm also curious as to what caused Samson and Scar/Taka to end up be betrothed.
My best guess is that it was a political match caused by an incident between the two prides. Like, maybe there was an misunderstanding and the prides using the betrothal to calm things down between the two prides? I guessing that Scar/Taka is an adult in this. It's difficult to tell the age of an lioness other then basing the age on size, but Scar/Taka being a weak and sickly runt as a cub makes it even more difficult to guess her age. There are so many ways you could take Betrothal. Judging by lack of any other scars I can see on her, I'm guessing this isn't an AU of your Survival comic? Would Samson still be sterile in Betrothal or would they have cubs? Would Samson have met Shiva in Betrothal? Sorry, I'm just really curious and speculating out-loud.

Alas only it is not drawn yet. Only three of them are up and being drawn so far. I wish I had more time to do all of them but I don't. However, once one of the other comics is complete another of these planned ones will be chosen to be drawn next.

I like them as a couple, if nothing else, because Samson is just so cuddly and I like Scar cuddles
though I like Shiva and Samson too.

Yes Zira is in Survival. Nuka and Vitani are Scar's in my verse. However, I don't like Zira either. Bitch be crazy. So as far as I am concerned she was a means to an end that failed. Aka Scar wanted cubs. So Scar mostly humored her. It was a political orangement on his part. She was the one who tried to make it more. But I just see her as less love of Scar and more power crazy and wanting revenge because Simba took that away. But Zira's were... not what he expected. So I see him more just humoring her about it but again disappointed. Hence him picking Kovu. Which personally... I don't think he actually is Zira's cub either. Just because of the way she treats him. Makes me think she stole him from another lioness BECAUSE Scar picked him. So she would still have power by being the mother of the next King.

I think Scar needing her just for cubs makes sense though, I can see that happening.
personally I don't think Scar wanted an heir, I figure he either picked one to make the pride shut up, or to make Zira shut up.

or if Scar fathered any cubs.

Well I use the Musical's idea. Where Scar only wanted cubs as a form of immortality. Since it will be HIS bloodline ruling the pride from then on. So yeah... just seemed like a political move rather than an actual desire for her companionship. After all Simba was betrothed to Nala. Which is the same idea. Its a political move. Old kingdoms used to do it all the time. Marriage of convenience or as a business transaction.
So in my verse. Nuka and Vitani are Scar's but they were not what he wanted. So he picked Kovu because he could be mistaken for his. Specially if he got the lioness to say so. Or as it were. Zira taking him and passing him off as her own. After all it looks like the lions didn't show the cubs until their eyes open. So if Vitani and Kovu were born within days of each other... would be easy to pass off as the same litter.
And thank you. X3 I try to convey him as close to the original movie as possible but also add lil bits from the Musical and the books. Plus a smidge of my own headcanon. X3

I know they did that kind of thing all the time, and I can see Scar being like that, but at the same time to me it seemed like he would never want to admit he wouldn't rule forever, so the subject of an heir would piss him off.
works either way though.
I don't know to much about the musical, save for him hitting on Nala which I don't really see happening in the movie canon.
though there was a really kickass animation of that scene that looked canon XD
and yeah, that does sound like something Zira would do to try and impress Scar.
feel bad for his real parents since she probably would kill them if that was the case

It was in the early production, but they took it out because it was too dark for the kids. "The Madness of King Scar", I think the scene was called. In that version, the hyenas weren't brought in until he tried to throw Nala out for refusing to be his mate and the lionesses tried to mutiny. But then Scar called the hyenas out and they were WAY outnumbered.

Disney doesn't usually shy away from dark themes.

but, one way or the other it was cut and changed so I don't have to treat it as canon.

Well you don't, really. It was cut from the final version, so technically, I suppose that means it's not canon, but it's all subjective, really. If someone wants to treat it as canon for their own TLK theories, that's fine; and of course, if someone doesn't want to treat it as canon, that's fine too. Personal preferences. ^^

Yeah. Well, she IS a young, beautiful, strong, and desirable lioness... And Scar is still a male lion, despite everything. lol Some people say it would be pedophilia, but it wouldn't be; not really, anyway, since at that time, Nala is no longer a cub, but an adult... Still, it's kinda creepy, I agree, and while it would make sense as to why Nala left the Pridelands, it's probably a good decision that they left it out of the final version. I mean, for one, Scar is A LOT older than Nala, as she was a young cub when he was an adult... So it's kinda the equivalent of an old man hitting on a teenager. XD

I just have a hard time seeing Scar, at least at that time, being at all interesting in females or having a queen.
he wouldn't want to share power for one thing, and to me he didn't want to be any form of 'close' with anyone.
maybe when he was younger, less crazy and resentful of everyone.
that's just me though, and I always figured Nala left because she was the strongest at the time and best suited to find help, and things just got so bad and Scar so far gone there was no other option.
I also kind of like the theory that Scar is Nala's father.

Yeah, it's a bit out of character for Scar, that's for sure. But well, if you listen to his dialogue in that storyboard I linked you, it explains it.. he doesn't want a queen so she can "share his power", he just wants a queen because it's what his brother had (as Zazu lists it as one of the things Mufasa had that Scar doesn't), and he thinks that if he has his own cubs with her, he will be "immortal". Not literally immortal, of course, but "immortal" in the sense that by having cubs, his bloodline will continue on. But it still doesn't make a whole lot of sense in terms of Scar's attitude/personality in the movie, I agree.
Oh yeah, if you go with the theory that Scar is Nala's father them that scene is REALLY messed up, for obvious reasons. lol Though some people have explained it by Scar being so insane at that time that, in his messed up mind, he sees Nala as Sarafina (they do look A LOT alike, after all). But yeah, it's still really messed up, in any case.

to me, Kovu was chosen to shut up the lionesses badgering him about an heir(which would be Zira mostly, since she would want to be his queen.)

Yeah, kinda how I see it too. Makes more sense with the way he's portrayed in the movie. But, I accept all kinds of different theories, as long as the story and/or art is good, and it makes sense. ^^

Love all of these! Though Cats Cradle is my personal favorite. A shame it has been postponed but understandable considering the number of projects. Love how serene Samson looks while Scars attitude to him varies
