Nice focus on the lady bug.
Was this with the kit lens of the D40x? (I just got one a month ago.)

Thank you!
Yes, it was.
P.S. I'm sorry for the late reply.

They're really cute things, but they can be hell in masses >.<
The focus is very neat, I like it ^-^

Very true. One day, while I was sledding with my friend I saw a large red mass in the snow, so I went to investigate and the red mass turned out to be a bunch of ladybugs huddled up together on a small branch to keep warm and I think they were since there was no snow below them and 5-7 inches all the way around. It was quite an amazing sight since I'd never seen something like that before. Though, it was unfortunate that at that time I didn't bring any camera's with me.
Also, thank you. I'm glad you like it.

They are often found in masses, even if I once thought they flew alone. There was a time this year when they flew around everywhere, and they actually bit you when you came near them. I never even knew that they could bite >.<
And it hurts like hell -.-

It's unfortune that the cam is never there when you need it most. At least I sometimes feel like that xD

You're welcome, by the way.

Wow! They actually bit you? I never knew they would bite a human. Then again, if I saw this tall creature walking towards me I'd probably attack and bite it too. XD *cough* Anyway. That's good to know that when they bite it hurts 'cause now, whenever I see a bunch of them flying around I'll avoid 'em. xP

Yes, and it's not just you. I've had it happen to me a few times. Unfortunately.

Hm, it could actually be that way (even if I'm not really tall xD), but one could also think they do it out of pure malice...
However, that would assume the were evil creatures, and they're just to cute for that xD

Today I took my cam out while walking with my dog. It was on the whole time, and then, after I turned it off, my dog did excatly what I wanted to photograph the whole time -.-

I would be surprised if anybody said they attack out of pure malice. Almost every creature attacks for a reason. Also, you're right. They're too cute to be evil creatures. X3

Haha! You've gotta love it when something like that happens, eh?

And they are useful, too. They eat aphids xD

It's the most annoying thing ever. But there is always another try, right? ~.^

Yes they are. Though, I feel bad for the aphids sometimes. T.T

Right!

Hm, but they're bad for the leaves. xP
That's not a win-win situation...

Hmm... True, very true.
But! I still feel bad for them. They're actually cute when you get a good look at their faces.

To bad it's winter now. They would definitely make good models, too. ^-^
